Potential 100,000 Page View Knol Authors
Breaking News: New three 100,000 page view knol authors on 6.7.2010. Congratulations to all of them.
The Knol identifies knol authors with potential to reach 100,000 page views in the next month and present them to knol author community. We want the potential authors to put some extra effort in the month and we also request all authors to extend them special support during the month. Let us increase knol authors with knol honors.

INTRO.
Presently 170 knol authors ( 123 when the knol was started) have 100,000 pageviews. This knol will identify the knol authors in
sequence who are likely to reach 100,000 in the
Near future (next month) . The purpose is to
encourage those knol authors to become active and contribute to their
knol portfolio to achieve this milestone performance. Also the knol authors and their knols will be highlighted so that fellow authors as well as visitors visit their knols.

1. Plan to write one knol a week.
2. Update all your knols. Examine your knols for improving language (spelling and grammar)
3. Examine whether you can insert a youtube video.
4. Examine whether you can add some more content.
5. Give links to your other knols under an appropriate caption - related links - My other knols etc.
6. Send twitter messages about each of your knols.
7. Make a blog entry about each of your knols.
8. Make a digg entry about each of your knols.

My page views are not updating since August
Could anyone help me, the individual knol page view is updating, but in the list of all my Knols the order is not updating based on the page views. This limitation started in August.

Luckily individual page counters are working and we are getting some information about our knols.
I visited your knol profile or dash board. 252 knols are posted and I could sort them in page view order.
Earthquakes and other calamities and the end of times is at the top with 4000+ page views.
You can install Google analytics to get information regarding page views on a daily basis. You can also install Google adsense. That will also give you some information about cumulative page views on a daily, weekly and monthly basis.

There has to be a target that sustains Knol and all of have to aim at it. We may or may not achieve it. But plan has to be proper and effort has to be proper. Because when both are proper, we will achieve better results in another period, if we fail in this period due to various reasons.
Mind is willing but body is not willing. I want to update this knol but feeling tired. It happens some times and some days.
Congratulations once again. I am talking of identifying the responsibility between knol management and knol authors regarding promotion. give you idea on the knol.

In democratic politics, there are no enemies. There is no conflict. There are only competing policies and all the time effort is to see that the society progresses. We are all concerned with progress of knol and progress of articles written by individual knol authors. Every step that works in favor of it is to be encouraged.
But of course, no effort to persuade you to do something that you do not want do very strongly. The issue does not warrant that significance. Knol is very big now itself that individual knol authors and their actions even though significant in one sense are insignificant in another sense. So there is no problem from my side, if you do not want deal with the issue mentioned in that knol because you feel Knol Author Foundation is strongly associated with it. Even though I also do not approve KPG's trick of accumulating page views after all days talking about manipulation on knol, except for the page view status, I cover all KPG's activities on my knols. I welcome it as a legitimate association of authors and I hope it will do some good work and promote knol to survival and progress. No point of ignoring an association which may do good work. We are short of people and groups who are doing good work on knol.
Once again no issues with this issue. You are free to make judgments and avoid issues which you do not feel are fair or proper.

Thanks for the comment, though I have a long relationship with you at knol than anyone else even the KPG members, but this comment compelled me to say the following. I think I need to clear my views for your kind thoughts. You said, “Even though I also do not approve KPG’s trick of accumulating page view…”, based on this statement I did a small search/study and found some truths, and I must resolve you of this strange claim that you and PG are involved in.
As far as I know and am convinced from my search that I don’t find any so called “trick” applied here at KPG, and instead the Google’s counting algorithm is doing its job for KPG and others (everyone else listed as a Top View Author), for example it does the some for eHowKnol too and I think there is no way to turn off the counter.
Regarding your claim as “No 1 Global English knol author”:
Is there any involvement or endorsement by Google’s algorithm in this claim?,
Likewise, Is Will Johnson’e knols and his accumulation of 100,000 page views are genuine and acceptable? I noticed and read from the knol pages that literarily he plagiarized Dr. Nikki Levin’s works. Though he is an active member at KAF, is you or anybody from KAF raised this issue? Instead Raogaru you are blaming KPG even though every knol in the count is 5 star and every author involved is holding a high regard here.

Even though the discussion can be extended here, it is not the right place. Because this knol is for encouraging many knol authors to improve their performance and help them and not to create differences in point of view and add to the conflicts that were already opened and continuing.
Also one to one arguments on issues we do not want to agree is unnecessary loss of energy. It does not contribute to our collaborative efforts.
Let us work together on issues we agree. Let us ignore issues we do not agree. Everybody on knol is an intellectual with good logical reasoning and ability to put forward his arguments to support his point of view.

I also made the statement that one step I do not approve but still I treat them as legitimate group and expect good things from them. I said in democratic politics conflict should not be there.

I request you to concentrate on social media promotion of your knols for the next one month. It that context, if you can spare time, if you make comments some of these knol author's pages encouraging about their knol quality and page views, it will be good. Because then they will visit your knols and may give some comments. In that connection, I feel if you inform everybody about your social media button, it will be mutually beneficial. You can inform about Knol author news also.
But I am always worried about your convenience. I request you to work only during the time that you can really spare for it. No point in straining unnecessarily.

The hit rate will be quite low. But it is sufficient to make us hits. I have some global successes with low response rates to my campaigns. So I do not worry about response rate. The campaign must have logic and we have to sustain the initiative. Now I have a method name after me Graham - Rao Method. All my students remember it and some of them say it is their favourite.

Thanks for the comment and the interest to know the tip. Today, Sunday i was away from comp and back only in the evening and tried to check the mail suddenly power went off after a heavy wind and a
slight shower, then hours together no power, now eight o clock i was ready to write a note there suddenly again power went off, now again 8.30 back to normal and i am with the tips how to enter or post a share button in your knol pages the trick is very simple i learned it from one mr. rejoy k p to post it into my blog and learned it from jag to post it into the knol.

Can you explain how to include this button in a knol. I suggest you write a separate knol on it and give the link here. We will give the link to that knol in the body of this knol also. We are asking all authors to post their links in social media. This button will make it convenient. Whenever an author feels like it he can post in social media using this button.

At the start of July 2010 we will include 201 to 250 serial number knol authors in this knol. We hope by that many authors now in this knol will cross 100,000 page view mark.
Hope many authors participate in this project along with authors whose page views will increase to 100,000.
Knol is a social platform and many of us have to succeed for the platform to succeed. Success of few authors is not sufficient for survival of Knol.

I have to include some more Arab author names in the list. Yesterday I could not do it as I am in a hurry.
Request you to specially encourage all those Arab authors to put special effort in the next six weeks and reach the milestone. I some authors reach the milestone this month, some more authors will get motivated in the next month to put in similar efforts.

The list is based on knol badge search list of most viewed authors.
When I started this list 123 authors had more than 100,000 page views. Hence the list started 124 and the serial numbers are given.
124 author is knol foundation. It has now become 100,000 page view author. So now the serial number is at 125. I included up to 200. But five or six Arabic author names are still to be included. I shall do it by today evening. I am going to their home pages or dash boards and collecting their page view information to give an idea of work involved in reaching 100,000 page views.
I hope from this page they get some visitors. Also I am including their names in some more pages to send visitors to their pages. I am including their knols in knol directory developed by me.
Requesting them to write for KAF knol competition. All authors are creative people. Once they see some thing they get many more ideas and increase the output manifold.
